Emirates Scholar Center Participates in the 35th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair
Abu Dhabi, 10 September, 2026
Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies is participating in the 35th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, part of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, from 13th to 18th September at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, under the theme, “Turn the Page, Read the World”.
The Center’s participation reflects its commitment to enriching the cultural and knowledge landscape in the United Arab Emirates and engaging with the distinguished activities featured in this year’s edition of the fair. Throughout the event, its pavilion programme will include the signing of a number of memoranda of understanding with government and international entities, as well as partners, further strengthening its network of research and community partnerships.
The Center will also host a series of scientific and dialogue sessions addressing a range of topics, including the relationship between reading, family and artificial intelligence; the ethics of artificial intelligence, authorship and the integrity of scientific knowledge; the role of scientific research in supporting the UAE’s sustainability journey; home libraries and the preservation of family heritage for future generations; the future of education and the skills required for the knowledge economy; as well as a dialogue session exploring women and family across the past and present through real-life stories and experiences.
Special attention will also be given to children through a daily session entitled “Future Ambassadors: Children’s Journey into Scientific Research and Sustainability”, designed to introduce younger generations to the concepts of scientific research and sustainability in an engaging and accessible manner.
The Center’s pavilion will also provide consultations on publishing in internationally indexed journals, along with dedicated services for authors and publishing, scientific events and partnerships. In addition, the programme will feature daily networking activities bringing together authors, publishers, researchers and partners.
H.E. Dr. Abdulla Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of Emirates Scholar Center, said that the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair represents an important platform for strengthening the role of the family in building a reading society, noting that the family is the first foundation for nurturing a knowledgeable generation with a love for learning.
He added that the fair provides a rich environment for discovering books, encouraging children to read, and transforming reading into a daily habit that brings family members together and enriches their conversations. He stressed that making books an integral part of family life contributes to the development of children’s personalities, broadens their perspectives, and enhances their ability to think creatively and critically.
For his part, Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director General and Board of Trustees Member of Emirates Scholar Center, said that the Center’s participation in this edition reflects its commitment to serving as a bridge between researchers, society and partner institutions through a programme that combines scientific dialogue with strategic partnerships.
He added that the Center looks forward to making this participation another cumulative milestone that contributes to strengthening the UAE’s position as a regional hub for scientific research and academic publishing.
