Background:
The future of breast cancer management is set to be transformed by the application of artificial intelligence across several key areas: precision medicine, advanced early detection technologies, innovative surgical approaches, and the seamless integration of AI and digital health tools.

Methods:
We conducted a literature review on potential advancements in the use of artificial intelligence for breast cancer management, utilizing PubMed and Google Scholar. The findings have been summarized to highlight both current and emerging technologies.

Results:
Future advances in breast cancer management encompass seven key dimensions that aim to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life.
1. Precision Medicine and Targeted Therapies: Advances in genomics and molecular profiling are enabling oncologists to select targeted therapies that are more effective and less toxic than traditional chemotherapy. Notable examples include PARP inhibitors for BRCA-mutated cancers, alongside the expanding field of immunotherapy, which may become standard for aggressive types like triple-negative breast cancer.
2. Advances in Early Detection: AI-driven tools are improving the accuracy of mammography and imaging techniques, facilitating real-time cancer detection. AI will also help identify high-risk patients and enhance early-stage cancer diagnosis through blood tests that detect circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA).
3. Minimally Invasive and Personalized Surgery: The integration of oncological and plastic surgery principles will improve surgical outcomes, focusing on effective cancer removal while enhancing aesthetics. Technologies like Raman-OCT will further refine the precision of breast-conserving surgeries.
4. Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health: AI will assist in creating personalized treatment plans by analysing clinical data, while digital health tools will enable real-time monitoring of patients, improving adherence and early detection of complications.
5. AI in Drug Development: AI is accelerating drug discovery, helping to predict cancer cell responses and optimize combinations, leading to faster development of effective treatments.
6. De-escalation of Treatment: Improved diagnostics may lead to reducing aggressive therapies for early-stage cancers without compromising survival.
7. Psychosocial and Survivorship Care: Comprehensive care focusing on mental health and long-term monitoring will support breast cancer survivors in achieving better overall health post-treatment.

Conclusion:
The future of breast cancer management is moving toward a more personalized, less invasive, and technology-driven approach. These innovations will not only improve survival outcomes but also enhance the quality of life for breast cancer patients.
