Estimate Land Surface Temperature in Relation to Land Use Types Using spectral remote sensing data in Koura district
المستخلص
Land surface temperature (LST) is crucial for global climate change and land use change. This study uses remote sensing and GIS to estimate LST in Jordan's Koura district from 2013-2022. Results show urban expansion at a rate of 89.4%, while forests experienced 31.89% growth. Average surface temperature increased to over 28°C, with a negative relationship between vegetation cover and LST. The study recommends measures to limit urban expansion and work on reclaiming dry lands.
