In “Welcome to The PLAY Project,” Dr. Rosin will present the fundamentals of this evidence-based, developmental, intensive approach to engaging children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Research shows that The PLAY Project’s professional training program, through parent coaching, leads to improved social and functional outcomes for children on the spectrum, children with red flags for autism, and other neurodivergent children. In this presentation, professionals and parents will learn practical tips to use right away with the young child with ASD in their life. Video case studies of PLAY Autism Intervention in action will be presented. You will learn how to understand a child’s unique profile, including their social-emotional development and sensory needs. Most importantly, you will learn how to use the power of play to help children with ASD learn and grow through joyful relationships. Children, including children with autism, learn best through play. The secret is knowing how to engage the child in a playful way that promotes his or her development. The PLAY Project is delivered by parents who have been trained by Play Project Consultants using their relationship and knowledge of their child to promote engagement. Through home or office visits, our PLAY Consultants coach families to learn the 7 Circles of The PLAY Project, our step-bystep program that empowers families. All parents will be supported in developing a joyous relationship with their children with autism spectrum disorders in a way that will help each child reach his/her full potential
