The General Command of Dubai Police honoured Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies in recognition of its efforts to support scientific research and strengthen institutional cooperation in the security and community fields.

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening partnerships between security and research institutions and leveraging scientific studies to support decision-making and anticipate future challenges, in line with the UAE’s vision of building a knowledge-based economy and promoting innovation.

The honouring ceremony was attended by Colonel Mohammed Abdulrahman Abdulwahid, Director of the Tourist Police Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation in Dubai Police; Major Ahmed Mohammed Ahli, Head of the Tourist Coordination Section; and Captain Dawood Abdullah Al Hammadi, representative of the Tourist Police Department.

Representing Emirates Scholar were Dr. Firas Habbal, President of the Center and Member of the Board of Trustees, and Mr. Khalid Al Ali, Head of Experts Committee and Member of the Board of Trustees.

The honouring comes within the framework of the collaborative relationship between the General Command of Dubai Police and the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies, and reflects both sides’ commitment to supporting scientific research, exchanging expertise and knowledge, and leveraging specialised studies to enhance institutional performance and strengthen efforts to serve the community.

Both sides underscored the importance of continuing cooperation in preparing relevant studies and research and utilising research outputs to support decision-making and anticipate future challenges. This contributes to enhancing tourist security and safety and improving the quality of services provided to visitors and the community.

Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies is a UAE-based institution dedicated to advancing scientific research, academic publishing, and evidence-based studies. Meanwhile, the Tourist Police Department of Dubai Police plays an important role in enhancing the security and safety of visitors and supporting Dubai’s tourism ecosystem.
