Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies unveiled its future plans

Under the chairmanship of H.E. Dr. Abdallah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative council and Chancellor of the Board of Trustees of ESCRS.

Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (June 30, 2024): Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies held its annual meeting for the Board of Trustees under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Abdallah Belhaif Al Nuaimi. The meeting was attended by prominent figures including diplomats, high-level officials, and partners, celebrating the center’s achievements and unveiling ambitious plans for the future.

The center announced the organization of five new international scientific conferences throughout 2024 and 2025, covering areas such as linguistic intelligence, medicine, tolerance, social responsibility, and sustainability.

These conferences will serve as dynamic platforms for knowledge and idea exchange among elite researchers and specialists from around the world. This initiative aligns with the center’s commitment to enhancing the culture of scientific research and encouraging international cooperation in this field.

The meeting also highlighted the significant strides made by the center over the past year, with membership increasing by over 15,000 members and the publication of 470 research papers. Additionally, four new peer-reviewed scientific journals were launched, along with 16 active research projects, underscoring the center’s commitment to advancing scientific progress.

H.E. Dr. Abdallah Belhaif Al Nuaimi emphasized the importance of these future steps, stating, “Our strategic plans embody our steadfast commitment to realizing the vision of the UAE leadership, which aims to make scientific research a key tool in making informed decisions. We believe that these initiatives will greatly contribute to enhancing the position of Emirates Scholar Center as a leading research hub locally and globally.

The establishment of the Gulf Scholar Association was also announced, marking a pioneering initiative to serve as the first indexing body for research in the Gulf region, thereby enhancing the region’s standing on the global research map.

in addition, the launch of the “CiteScholar” scientific platform was announced, the first integrated platform for managing and reviewing conferences in both English and Arabic. CiteScholar will facilitate conference management and review efficiently, contributing to the advancement of scientific research on both local and international levels, in both English and Arabic.

In this regard, Dr. Firas M. Habal, President of Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies and Vice Chancellor of the Board of Trustees, stated, “We are extremely proud of the center’s growth, with a significant increase of 28% in research activities compared to the previous year.”

Dr. Fawaz M. Habal, Director General and Board Member, expressed similar sentiments, adding, “These achievements testify to the steadfast commitment of our members, partners, and employees.”

Mr. Khalid Al Ali, Treasury and Board Member, commented on the launch of the Gulf Scholar Association and CiteScholar initiative, saying, “Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies is committed to leadership in innovation and advancing scientific research.

The establishment of the Gulf Scholar Association and CiteScholar are two strategic steps toward achieving this vision. On one hand, the association will unify research efforts in the region and enhance its global research status.”

The meeting concluded with the announcement of new members joining the Board of Trustees and advisory committees. Additionally, the center recognized the significant contributions of its partners and supporters through an awards ceremony.
