Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly embedded in the digital lives of youth, influencing their values, behaviors, and perceptions of diversity and inclusion. This study investigates AI's dual role as a catalyst for promoting tolerance and as a potential source of bias. It explores how AI-driven content, such as social media algorithms, recommendation systems, and automated decision-making, shapes young people's perspectives on cultural, racial, and gender diversity.

The research emphasizes the importance of designing ethical AI systems free from prejudices that could perpetuate stereotypes or marginalize communities. By analyzing real-world examples and academic studies, the paper highlights how biased AI algorithms can undermine efforts to foster inclusivity among youth. Conversely, it discusses the potential of AI-powered educational tools and platforms to instill values of acceptance, equality, and mutual respect.

The findings stress the need for policymakers, educators, and technologists to collaborate in mitigating biases in AI while leveraging its potential to cultivate tolerance in a digitally connected world. This work contributes to the global discourse on ensuring that technology aligns with principles of equity and human dignity
