Abstract

Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) can act as therapeutic agents for infectious disease, and a new treatment strategy for cancer and bacterial infection. In this study extraction and detection of new types of antibacterial peptides from camel urine were done. The Separated peptides have low molecular weights 12.9 and 16.6 kDa, these two peptides, are relatively enzymatic and heat stable. The peptides fractions were separated and identified by electrical migration on acrylamide gel electrophoresis. These urinary-peptides showed antibacterial activity against multi drug resistant bacteria, the kinetics killing rate indicate superior bactericidal activity for two peptides which acts synergistically on both Gram positive and gram-negative bacteria within 2-4 h. The antineoplastic activities were determined by tissue culture techniques, the potential of Antimicrobial urinary peptide inhibits 50% of cancer cell in breast, liver, and colon carcinoma with 40.4, 35.2, and 18.1 μg/ml respectively, th
