Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies and Uzbekistan State World Languages University explored prospects for cooperation in Arabic language, translation, and scientific research during a meeting held at the university's headquarters in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
The university presented its academic and research programs, while the attendees discussed several proposed initiatives. These included drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing an Emirati-Uzbek Center for Arabic Language and Translation at the university, and exploring the establishment of a Translation and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Discussions also covered cooperation in the study of Arabic and Islamic manuscripts, joint research projects, and scientific publishing.
The meeting also addressed student, faculty, and expert exchanges, as well as the organization of joint training programs and scientific events.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed that the Emirates Scholar Center would prepare an initial draft of the MoU and a proposed action plan and submit them to the university for review. Following agreement on the terms, the two parties will identify priority initiatives and determine the mechanisms for their implementation.
