Submission Guidelines

The Air Space Power Journal welcomes high-quality papers presenting original and unpublished theoretical, experimental, constructive, conceptual, strategic, or applied research relevant to the Journal's areas of interest. Manuscripts may be submitted by authors from any country.

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been previously published, and is not currently under review or consideration for publication elsewhere.

 

Full Paper Format

We welcome high-quality papers that detail original and unpublished results of theoretical, experimental, constructive, or conceptual research on the topic areas relevant to specified journal. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that it is not currently under review for publication elsewhere.

  • Full Paper: 10–25 pages, including references, tables/charts, and keywords.

  • Abstract: 200–250 words.

  • Keywords: 3–10 words.

  • Font: 12-point Times New Roman.

  • Paragraph: Single-spaced.

  • Margins: Normal — top: 2.54 cm; bottom: 2.54 cm; left: 3.18 cm; right: 3.18 cm.

  • Page Numbers: Bottom-centered.

  • Layout: One-column portrait.

  • File Format: MS Word-compatible file.

 

Paper Structure

Manuscripts should generally follow the structure below:

  • Title

  • Author(s) Names and Affiliation

  • Author(s) Names and Affiliation

  • Introduction — including the problem definition, research questions, or hypothesis.

  • Literature Review — including in-text citations.

  • Purpose / Objectives

  • Methodology / Approach — including research design, data collection, and analysis.

  • Findings / Results — including tables and figures.

  • Discussion

  • Conclusion / Implications / Recommendations

  • References — Harvard or APA style.

  • Appendices — when appropriate.

  • Acknowledgements — when appropriate.

 

Language

All manuscripts must be written in Arabic or English. Either American or British English may be used; however, usage should be consistent throughout the manuscript.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts are grammatically correct, properly spelled, and written in language appropriate for scholarly publication. Authors who require assistance with grammar, spelling, or scientific English are encouraged to use appropriate editing services or tools.

 

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts are subjected to double-blind peer review and are expected to meet appropriate standards of originality and academic excellence.

The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that publication of the manuscript has been approved by all co-authors and assumes responsibility for the manuscript throughout submission and peer review.

Submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by a member of the Editorial Board. Manuscripts may be rejected at this stage if they lack sufficient originality, contain significant scientific or scholarly faults, have inadequate language quality, or fall outside the Journal's objectives and scope.

Manuscripts satisfying the initial requirements may be sent to at least two professional referees with relevant expertise. Reviewers are selected according to their areas of expertise whenever possible.

 

Reviewers assess manuscripts with consideration of:

  • Originality in thinking, methodology, and data, where applicable.

  • Clarity and adequacy of reported outcomes in support of the findings.

  • Accuracy and completeness of relevant citations.

  • Adherence to academic and ethical standards, particularly those concerning plagiarism.

  • Contribution to the advancement of knowledge.

Reviewers may recommend language and style improvements. The Managing Editor may review language and stylistic accuracy during the final editorial stage, and manuscripts may, in exceptional circumstances, be returned to authors for substantial linguistic or stylistic correction.

The initial review stage typically takes two weeks, with a maximum period of approximately one month. Where reviewer reports conflict or a review is substantially delayed, an additional expert opinion may be sought.

Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original referees for further assessment. The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript rests with the Chief Editor, taking into consideration the referees' recommendations and comments.

 

Submission Requirements

Authors should submit the required manuscript and author information through the Journal's submission system.

A cover letter should contain:

  • Complete given name of the author.

  • ESID (available in the author's profile after logging into the platform).

  • Affiliation.

  • Department.

  • Designation.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscript meets the Journal's requirements and maintains a high level of substantive, structural, linguistic, and scholarly quality.

Manuscripts that do not conform to the editorial guidelines or require extensive language editing may be returned to the author for correction and editing before further consideration.

The Editorial Board reviews submitted papers, including an initial approval stage. Authors whose manuscripts are considered for publication must submit the required signed and dated author/publisher agreement.

 

Academic Ethics

Submitted articles must contain new and unpublished research findings. The Journal considers adherence to academic and ethical principles to be essential.

Plagiarism is not condoned. Manuscripts may be checked using plagiarism-detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate. A submission showing clear evidence of plagiarism may be rejected, and further action may be taken in accordance with the applicable Journal policies.

Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could inappropriately influence or bias their work. Potential conflicts of interest may include employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, patent applications or registrations, and grants or other funding.

 

Copyright and License Terms

The copyright and publication rights of submitted articles are governed by the applicable Emirates Scholar journals author/publisher agreement.

Authors warrant that their contributions are original and do not infringe the copyright, trademark, patent, statutory, or proprietary rights of others.

Authors retain the rights specified in the applicable author/publisher agreement, including the right to use all or part of their article, including tables and figures, in future works of their own with proper acknowledgement to the publisher.

 

Originality and Multiple Submissions

Submission of a manuscript implies that:

  • The work has not been previously published.

  • The manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Publication has been approved by all authors.

  • The manuscript will not be published elsewhere in the same form without the written consent of the copyright holder.

  • The work may be checked for originality using appropriate plagiarism-detection software.

 

Authorship Changes

Authors should carefully consider the list and order of authors before submitting a manuscript.

Any addition, deletion, or rearrangement of authors should be requested before acceptance and must follow the applicable editorial procedures. Such requests require an explanation for the change and written confirmation from the authors concerned.

In exceptional circumstances, requests made after acceptance may be considered by the editor. If an article has already been published online, an approved change may require a corrigendum.

 

Withdrawal and Corrections

A manuscript/article will not ordinarily be withdrawn after publication. Corrections or rectifications may be considered where valid reasons exist and are approved by the editor.

Authors requesting a correction should follow the Journal's applicable Content Updating Form procedure.

Authors bear sole responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of the data, analyses, and conclusions presented in their manuscripts.

The Journal, its Editorial Board, reviewers, and publisher accept no liability for errors, omissions, or misinterpretations contained in published work or for consequences arising from the use or application of information presented in an article.

Publication of an article does not constitute endorsement of the author's views or methodologies by the Journal or its affiliated institutions. Authors remain responsible for copyright, ethical compliance, permissions, and the accuracy of their submitted material.
