Aim and Scope Policy
At the Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies (ESCRS), every submitted manuscript is first evaluated against the journal’s Aims and Scope, as published on the journal’s official webpage. This initial assessment is conducted by the editorial team within 48 hours of submission, based on a review of the abstract, keywords, and introduction, to ensure clear relevance to the journal’s core areas, including business, economics, management, finance, entrepreneurship, public policy, social studies, and related interdisciplinary research.
Manuscripts that fall clearly outside the journal’s scope are politely declined at the desk-review stage. For submissions that sit near the boundaries of the journal’s scope, a scope review panel, consisting of the handling editor and two associate editors, evaluates the manuscript within one week.
During submission, authors are required to confirm that their manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope. Any deliberate misrepresentation may prompt further review in accordance with COPE ethical guidelines. To support authors before submission, ESCRS provides illustrative scope examples and topic guidance on its website, following the transparency practices adopted by major international journals.
The Editorial Board reviews scope adherence annually as part of its internal reporting process, using these insights to refine and clarify the journal’s description when necessary. Any updates to the Aims and Scope are communicated openly through the ESCRS website, ensuring transparency and allowing the journal to evolve responsibly in response to scholarly developments and community feedback.
