About

The International Journal of Islamic and Cultural Studies (IJICS) is a peer reviewed, open access scholarly publication dedicated to the exploration of Islamic thought, civilization, and cultural expressions across time and space. Grounded in the principles of knowledge, justice, and wisdom, IJICS provides a platform for rigorous inquiry into the intellectual, spiritual, and societal dimensions of Islam.

The journal seeks to revive and amplify the deep traditions of scholarly dialogue that have shaped the cultural and academic legacy. IJICS welcomes studies rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, as well as those that critically engage with classical and contemporary scholarship from across the Muslim world. In doing so, it aims to contribute to the ethical and cultural vitality of Islamic societies and their global intersections.

Through articles in history, literature, language, and anthropology, IJICS fosters a deeper understanding of how Islam continues to inform and inspire individual identities, community structures, and civilizational narratives. It champions scholarship that is authentic, inclusive, and dialogical—bridging past and present, tradition and innovation.
