The 2nd Eurasian Balkan Business Forum opened today in Dubai under the theme "Connecting Businesses Across the UAE, GCC, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Balkans." H.E. Dr. Abdulla Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chancellor Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies, attended the forum, together with Mr. Khalid Al Ali, Head of Advisory Committee, Board of Trusses Member at Emirates Scholar Center.
The forum is organised by the EurAsia Gulf Business Platform and the UAE–Croatia Business Club. It brings together representatives from more than 30 countries, as well as government officials and leaders of business councils and chambers of commerce. Its agenda covers investment opportunities, government-backed projects and market-entry strategies, and it gives companies space to meet and network directly. The forum aims to help companies enter new markets by connecting them with investors and decision-makers, and by giving them the expertise they need to expand into the UAE and across Eurasia.
In his keynote address, H.E. Dr. Abdulla Belhaif Al Nuaimi said: "From the heart of the UAE, where trade routes meet and ambitions intertwine, we are writing a new chapter of cooperation between the countries of Eurasia and the Balkans. This forum is not merely an economic gathering; it is a platform for shaping a shared future, one driven by trust, supported by partnerships, and given new horizons by the United Arab Emirates".
He added that the Eurasian and Balkan regions offer promising opportunities in energy, infrastructure, food security and technology. He noted that the Center seeks to build research partnerships with academic institutions and think tanks in these countries, in order to exchange expertise and produce joint studies that serve shared development goals.
The forum was also attended by Mr. Henrik Winther, Chairman of the Board at EurAsia Gulf; Mr. Neven Roginić, Founder and President of the UAE-Croatia Business Club; Mr. Nawar Abdul Wahed, CEO of EurAsia Gulf; Dr. Usama Al Malki, Chief Operating Officer of EurAsia Gulf; and Ms. Aliona Zaleskaya, Board Director of EurAsia Gulf. Also in attendance were H.E. Dr. Toni Atanasovski, Former Ambassador of North Macedonia; H.E. Victor Haruta, Former Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova and Vice Chairman of EurAsia Gulf; and Mr. Cosmin Cristal, Investment Manager at Dubai Chambers, along with representatives of business councils, investors and entrepreneurs.
