A joint delegation from Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies, Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), visited the UAE Embassy in the Republic of Uzbekistan in the capital, Tashkent. The delegation included H.E. Salem Omar Salem, Director of the Organization’s Regional Office in Sharjah; Dr. Firas Habbal, President of the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies and Board of Trustees Member; and Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director General of the Center and Board of Trustees Member.
The delegation was received by H.E. Dr. Saeed Matar Al Qamzi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the presence of Mr. Mohammed Al Dhaheri, Deputy Ambassador and Head of the Economic, Political and Media Affairs Section. H.E. The Ambassador welcomed the delegation and affirmed the strong relations between the UAE and the Republic of Uzbekistan. He noted that these relations continue to grow across various fields under the vision of the two countries' leaderships. The meeting also explored ways to expand cooperation with Uzbek academic and research institutions. It also discussed how to support cultural and knowledge initiatives that strengthen ties between the two sides and increase the exchange of expertise.
The meeting is part of the delegation's visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, which aims to promote Arab culture and expand Arabic language education in Central and East Asia. To do this, the visit supports cooperation with academic and research institutions and the exchange of expertise in scientific research and publishing. These efforts help strengthen the global presence of the Arabic language and encourage dialogue between cultures. They are in line with the UAE's approach to supporting the Arabic language and building cultural and scientific cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries.
