Advertising Policy
1. General Principles
Editorial Independence
The AirSpace Power Journal maintains a strict separation between editorial content and commercial activities.
Commercial revenues (sponsorships, advertising, reprints) must not influence editorial decisions.
Transparency
The journal clearly states whether it accepts advertising and describes its advertising policy, including the types of advertisements permitted, evaluation process, and exclusion criteria.
2. Current Status: We Do Not Accept Advertising
The AirSpace Power Journal does not currently serve advertising. The journal is funded through institutional contributions and academic sponsorships; these income sources are described in the Article Processing Charges and Institutional Sponsorship and Funding sections of the Publication Ethics document.
3. Possible Acceptance of Advertising in the Future
3.1 Acceptable Types of Advertising
-
Announcements related to conferences, scientific events, training programs, academic books, software, or research services relevant to the journal’s subject areas.
-
Institutional advertisements from universities, research organizations, and foundations that promote research
-
Advertising promoting predatory publishers, plagiarism services, “paper mills,” unregulated financial products, or other misleading offers will not be accepted.
3.2 Approval Criteria and Process
-
Preliminary check: Advertising proposals should be submitted through a dedicated form; the team verifies formal compliance
-
Editorial Committee review: A dedicated panel assesses relevance, reliability, and alignment with the mission of The AirSpace Power Journal.
-
Final decision: Rests with the Editor-in-Chief; the decision is final and intended to protect the journal's integrity.
3.3 Publication and Placement
-
Advertisements will be clearly labeled as “Advertising” and positioned in areas separate from editorial content.
-
No contextual or behavioral advertising will be used: ads will not be connected to specific articles or keywords, and no targeting algorithms will be employed
-
Sponsored content will always be clearly identified
3.4 Duration and Frequency
Each advertisement will be published for a specific, agreed-upon period. The AirSpace Power Journal does not allow indefinite publication or reproduction of an advertisement without new approval.
3.5 Ethical, Legal, and Non-Endorsement Clauses
-
Advertisers must ensure that their advertising content does not infringe on third-party rights, such as copyright, trademarks, or privacy, and complies with current regulations
-
Non-endorsement statement: Publishing an advertisement does not imply endorsement, approval, or recommendation by The AirSpace Power Journal; responsibility for the content and any claims rests solely with the advertiser
-
Conflicts of interest between advertisers and Editorial Committee members will be disclosed and handled appropriately.
3.6 Privacy Protection
-
The AirSpace Power Journal does not share personal data, such as email addresses or browsing behavior, with third parties for advertising purposes and does not use cookies or similar tools for ad targeting
-
Non-endorsement statement: Publishing an advertisement does not imply endorsement, approval, or recommendation by The AirSpace Power Journal; responsibility for the content and any claims rests solely with the advertiser

Advertising will not rely on visitor behavior and will adhere to the GDPR and the journal’s Privacy Policy.
3.7 Use of Revenue
Any revenue from advertising will be dedicated solely to supporting editorial activities, including peer-review management, the open-access platform, and digital preservation, and will not be used to favor authors, reviewers, or committee members.
3.8 Right of Refusal
The editorial team reserves the right to refuse or remove advertisements considered inappropriate or non-compliant with ethical policies, without any obligation to justify their decision.
4. Alignment with Other Ethical Policies
-
The Advertising and Commercial Influence section of the Publication Ethics document creates a clear separation between editorial content and commercial activities and bans advertisements associated with predatory practices.

The sections on Article Processing Charges and Institutional Sponsorship and Funding explain the journal’s revenue sources and transparency.

The GDPR and complaint-management provisions ensure that advertising does not disrupt data protection or the rights of authors, readers, and reviewers.
