About the Journal

The Journal of Geotechnical Engineering (JGE) is a peer-reviewed, Diamond Open Access journal published by the Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies (ESRC). The journal provides an international platform for the publication of high-quality research, technical developments, and innovative applications in geotechnical engineering and related disciplines.

JGE publishes original research articles, review papers, technical papers, case studies, short communications, and methodological contributions covering all areas of geotechnical engineering, including soil mechanics, rock mechanics, foundation engineering, geosynthetics, geoenvironmental engineering, ground improvement, underground construction, engineering geology, earthquake geotechnics, offshore geotechnics, numerical modelling, laboratory and field investigations, and geotechnical risk assessment.

The journal maintains rigorous editorial standards through a double-blind peer review process, plagiarism screening, and adherence to internationally recognized publication ethics. Manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment followed by independent peer review by qualified experts to ensure scientific quality, technical accuracy, originality, and relevance.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, ensuring immediate and unrestricted access to published research for readers worldwide.

Diamond Open Access – No APC

The Journal of Geotechnical Engineering (JGE) follows the Diamond Open Access publishing model.

This means that:

  • All published articles are freely and permanently accessible immediately upon publication.
