The Journal of Geotechnical Innovations (JGI) is committed to the unrestricted
dissemination of high-quality research in geotechnical engineering and related disciplines.
Published by the Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies (ESRC), JGE provides
immediate, permanent, and free open access to all published articles, ensuring that
researchers, engineers, practitioners, policymakers, educators, and students worldwide can access
scholarly content without subscription or payment barriers.
Access Rights
- Read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to published articles.
- Reuse the full-text Version of Record for research, teaching, professional practice, and other lawful purposes, provided proper attribution is given to the original authors and the journal.
- Access all published content immediately upon publication without embargo or registration requirements.
Licensing
All articles published in the Journal of Geotechnical Innovations (JGI) are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

Preservation & Discoverability
To ensure the long-term preservation and visibility of published research, JGE supports:
- Permanent digital archiving through Crossref DOIs, Zenodo, and CLOCKSS (or equivalent trusted preservation services).
- Rich article metadata, including ORCID iDs, ROR identifiers, and Funder Registry IDs, to improve discoverability and interoperability.
- Immediate Open Access in accordance with Plan S principles and rights retention requirements.
- Enhanced discoverability through indexing services and engineering databases as the journal is accepted and indexed.
Commitment to Open Science
The Journal of Geotechnical Innovations (JGI) supports the principles of open science by encouraging transparency, reproducibility, and the broad dissemination of geotechnical engineering research. Authors are encouraged, where appropriate, to share supporting datasets, software, technical appendices, field measurements, and supplementary materials through trusted repositories.
