For all Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies journals
-
What types of articles do the journals accept?
Our journals welcome original scholarly work that contributes clearly to its field, including empirical research articles, theoretical or conceptual papers, methodological studies, case studies, and critical reviews. Authors should ensure that their submission fits the disciplinary focus and “Aims and Scope” of the specific journal to which they submit.
-
How do I choose the most suitable Emirates Scholar journal for my manuscript?
You should match your manuscript’s topic, methodology, and intended readership to the journal’s stated aims, scope, and recently published articles. If in doubt, you may briefly describe your work to the editorial office of the target journal and request guidance on suitability before formal submission.
-
How do I submit my manuscript?
All manuscripts are submitted electronically through the submission system indicated on the chosen journal’s webpage. Before starting, please prepare all required files (main text, figures, tables, supplementary materials, and declarations) according to that journal’s author guidelines and ensure that all metadata (title, abstract, keywords, affiliations) are accurate and complete.
-
What are the main formatting requirements?
Formatting requirements (structure, word limits, referencing style, tables/figures, etc.) are specified in each journal’s author guidelines. As a general principle, manuscripts should follow a clear scholarly structure (for example: introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, references), use a consistent citation style, and present tables and figures in a form suitable for academic publishing.
-
What is your policy on originality and plagiarism?
Submissions must be original, must not have been published previously, and must not be under consideration elsewhere. All sources must be properly cited, and any overlap with the authors’ own earlier publications should be transparently acknowledged. The journals screen submissions for similarity, and manuscripts that do not meet accepted standards of originality or academic integrity may be rejected at any stage.
-
How does the peer-review process work?
Once a manuscript passes an initial editorial screening for scope, quality, and ethical compliance, it is typically sent to independent expert reviewers. Reviewers assess the originality, methodological soundness, clarity, and contribution of the work and provide recommendations to the editor. The final decision (accept, revise, or reject) is made by the editorial team in light of these reports.
-
How long does peer review take?
Review timelines can vary depending on the discipline, the complexity of the manuscript, and reviewer availability. The editorial team aims to provide an initial decision as efficiently as possible while preserving the quality and fairness of the review process. Authors can follow the status of their submission via the submission system and will be notified promptly once a decision is reached.
-
Do the journals charge article processing or publication fees?
All Emirates Scholar journals offer a standard open-access publishing route that does not require authors to pay mandatory publication fees. In addition, authors may optionally select from a range of supplementary services (such as enhanced visibility, promotion, translation, or accelerated processing), which are described in more detail on the Emirates Scholar website and in each journal’s author information section.
-
Are the journals open access?
Yes. All journals published by the Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies are open access. Articles are made freely available online upon publication, and readers can access, download, and share content without subscription barriers, in accordance with the licensing and reuse terms specified on each journal’s website.
-
Are the journals indexed, and will my article be submitted for indexing?
The journals work to maintain broad visibility and eligibility for relevant indexing and abstracting services appropriate to their fields as Google Scholar, ScienceOpen, and DOAJ. Inclusion decisions are made independently by indexing bodies, but the journals provide them with accurate metadata and up-to-date information to support proper evaluation. Authors are encouraged to consult each journal’s website for the latest information on current indexing.
