Author Responsibilities

The Emirati Journal of Education and Literature (EJEL) requires Authors to uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability in scholarly publishing.
This section describes the main responsibilities of Authors. Full details are provided in the Publication Ethics & Editorial Policies.
1. Conflict of Interest DisclosureAuthors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest - financial, institutional, or personal - that could influence the design, interpretation, or reporting of research findings.
If there are no conflicts, a statement confirming the absence of conflicts must be included in the manuscript.

EJEL permits the responsible use of generative AI tools only for limited support functions, including:
- language editing
- grammar refinement
- translation assistance
- formatting references or tables
Requirements for Authors:
- Disclose the tool’s name, version, and specific purpose of use.
- Include an AI Usage Statement in both the cover letter and manuscript.
- Keep prompts and interaction logs and give them when asked for editorial review.
AI tools must not be used to:
- generate or manipulate research data
- create images or figures without explicit disclosure
- draft substantive sections of the manuscript without human review and verification

Authors are fully responsible for:
- Ensuring the accuracy, originality, and completeness of data and findings
- Providing authentic and verifiable references in accordance with the journal’s official APA 7th Edition style
- Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, redundant publication, and improper citation practices in accordance with COPE Core Practices
