This Privacy Policy describes Emirates Scholar Research & Studies Center policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of information when use the service and provide more information about privacy rights and how the law protects authors scientific output.
ESRSC uses personal data to provide and improve the service. By using the service, author agrees to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy.
Collecting and Using Personal Data
Personal Data
While using ESRSC services, Author (s) may be asked to provide certain personally identifiable information that can be used for identification or contact. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to email address, first and last name, and phone number.
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the service. It may include information such as device’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of ESRSC service that user visits, the time and date of visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When user access the service by or through a mobile device, certain information automatically may be collected, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device used, mobile device unique ID, the IP address of mobile device, mobile operating system, the type of mobile internet browser used, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
ESRSC may also collect information that user’s browser sends whenever he/she visits the service or when access the service by or through a mobile device.
Information from Third-Party Social Media Services
ESRSC may allow user to create an account and log in to use the service through a third-party social media service.
If user decided to register through or otherwise grant ESRSC access to a third-party social media service, ESRSC may collect personal data that is already associated with his/her third-party social media service’s account, such as user name, email address, activities or contact list associated with that account.
Users may also have the option of sharing additional information with ESRSC through their third-party social media service’s account. User may choose to provide such information and personal data, during registration or otherwise, giving ESRSC permission to use, share, and store it in a manner consistent with this privacy policy.
Tracking Technologies and Cookies
ESRSC uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity associated with its service and store certain information. Tracking technologies used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze ESRSC service. The technologies used may include: persistent or session cookies or browser cookies & web beacons.
Use of Personal Data
ESRSC may use personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain services, and monitor the usage of services.
- To manage Account: to manage user registration as a user of the service. The personal data provided can give user access to different functionalities of the service that are available to him as a registered user.
- To provide and maintain services, and monitor the usage of services.
- For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance and undertaking of the purchase contract for the services user has purchased or of any other contract with ESRSC through the service.
- To contact users: by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as a mobile application’s push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products or contracted services, including the security updates, when necessary or reasonable for their implementation.
- To provide users with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events offered that are similar to those that users have already purchased or enquired about unless they have opted not to receive such information.
- To manage users’ requests: to attend and manage user requests to ESRSC.
- For business transfers: information may be used to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of ESRSC assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal data held by ESRSC about its service users are among the assets transferred.
- For other purposes: user information may be used for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve service, user experience and marketing performance.
ESRSC may share personal information in the following situations:
- With Service Providers: personal information may be shared with service providers to monitor and analyze the use of service, to contact user.
- For business transfers: ESRSC may share or transfer user personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of company business to another company.
- With Affiliates: user information may be shared with ESRSC affiliates, in which case that will require those affiliates to honor this privacy policy. Affiliates include the parent company and any other subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that ESRSC control or that are under common control with it.
- With business partners: information may be shared with business partners to offer user certain products, services or promotions.
- With other users: personal information is shared or otherwise interact in the public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside. If user interact with other users or register through a third-party social media service, user contacts on the third-Party social media service may see user name, profile, pictures and description of his/her activity. Similarly, other users will be able to view descriptions of activity, communicate with user and view his/her profile.
- With user consent: personal information may be disclosed for any other purpose with user consent.
Submission Consent
By submitting the manuscript to ESRSC, the author agrees to the following terms and conditions:
- The author grants the Emirates Scholar Research and Studies Center the right to publish the submitted manuscript in a selected journal.
- The author affirms that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- The author retains the copyright of the manuscript but grants Emirates Scholar Research and Studies Center a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, and display the work in any media, including electronic formats.
- The author agrees to comply with the editorial and ethical guidelines of the selected journal.
- The author warrants that the manuscript does not infringe on any existing copyright, violate any intellectual property rights, or contain any libelous or unlawful statements.
- The Emirates Scholar Research and Studies Center reserves the right to make editorial changes to the manuscript, as necessary, to meet the publication standards of the selected journal.
- The author agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Emirates Scholar Research and Studies Center against any claims, demands, or legal actions arising from the publication of the manuscript.
Retention of Personal Data
ESRSC will retain author(s) personal data only as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. Personal data will be retained and used to the extent necessary to comply with legal obligations (for example, to retain user’s data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce legal agreements and policies.
ESRSC will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of service, or if ESRSC legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.
Transfer of Personal Data
User information, including personal data, is processed at the Company’s operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of user’s state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from user jurisdiction.
User consent to this privacy policy followed by his/her submission of such information represents an agreement to that transfer.
ESRSC will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that user data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy and no transfer of personal data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of data and other personal information.
Deleting Personal Data
User has the right to delete or request to assist in deleting the personal data that ESRSC has collected about him. ESRSC service may give user the ability to delete certain information from within the service.
User may update, amend, or delete his/her information at any time by signing in to his/her account, if he/she has one, and visiting the account settings section that allows to manage personal information. User may also contact ESRSC to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that he/she has provided to ESRSC. Emirates Scholar Research and Studies Center may need to retain certain information when it has a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.
Disclosure of Personal Data
Business Transactions
If ESRSC is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, user’s personal data may be transferred. A notice will be provided before personal data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Law enforcement
Under certain circumstances, ESRSC may be required to disclose personal data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

ESRSC may disclose personal data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

Security of Personal Data
The security of personal data is important to ESRSC. While ESRSC strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect personal data, it cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
ESRSC service does not address anyone under the age of 13. It doesn’t knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If ESRSC becomes aware that he has collected personal data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, ESRSC will take steps to remove that information from its servers.
If ESRSC needs to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing user information and his/her country requires consent from a parent, it may require user parent’s consent before ESRSC collects and uses that information.
Links to Other Websites
ESRSC service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by it. If the user clicks on a third-party link, he/she will be directed to that third party’s site. ESRSC strongly advise user to review the privacy policy of every site he/she visits.
ESRSC has no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
ESRSC may update its privacy policy from time to time. It will notify users of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page.
ESRSC will let users know via email and/or a prominent notice on its service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this privacy policy.
Users are advised to review this privacy policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this privacy policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
