Archiving and Preservation Policy
The Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies (ESRC) is committed to ensuring that all published content remains accessible, secure, and preserved for the long term.
1. Long-Term Access
All journal content is stored in reliable digital archives to guarantee continued access for readers, researchers, and the academic community. This includes the use of trusted preservation systems such as CLOCKSS, or institutional repositories.
2. Redundancy and Security
Digital content is maintained in multiple locations and formats to protect against accidental loss, technical failures, or unforeseen events.
3. Persistent Identifiers
Articles are assigned DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) to ensure they can always be located and cited reliably, even if the journal platform changes.
4. Commitment to the Scholarly Record
ESRC is dedicated to preserving the integrity and continuity of the scholarly record. All published articles will remain publicly accessible in accordance with the journal’s open-access policies, supporting transparency and reproducibility in research.
5. Review and Update
The journal periodically reviews its archiving and preservation practices to incorporate new technologies and standards, ensuring that the content remains secure and accessible for future generations.
