Copyright and Licensing Policy
The Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies (ESRC) respects the rights of authors while ensuring broad dissemination of published research.
1. Copyright Transfer
Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish the work. This allows ESRC to distribute, reproduce, and archive the article while maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record.
2. Author Rights
Authors retain the right to reuse their work for purposes such as:
- Teaching and classroom use
- Presentations and conference sharing
- Inclusion in future publications or compilations
Proper citation of the original publication is required when reusing content.
3. Open Access Licensing
All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license or equivalent, allowing readers to freely access, share, and build upon the work, provided proper credit is given to the authors.
4. Alignment with Standards
This policy ensures compliance with international open-access practices, COPE ethical guidelines, and Scopus indexing expectations, supporting transparency, accessibility, and responsible use of scholarly content.
5. Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work does not infringe on third-party copyrights. Any use of previously published material must be properly cited and, if necessary, permission obtained from the original copyright holder.
