The Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies (ESRC) is committed to promoting open access (OA) to scholarly research, ensuring that all published articles are freely available to readers worldwide.

1. Access and Distribution

All articles published in ESRC journals are fully open access, allowing any reader to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text without subscription or payment barriers. This supports the widest possible dissemination of research.

2. Licensing

Published content is made available under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license or an equivalent open-access license. This permits reuse with proper attribution, while protecting the rights of authors.

3. Author Rights

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal a non-exclusive license to publish. Authors may reuse their content in teaching, presentations, or future publications with proper acknowledgment of the original source.

4. Funding and Fees

Diamond Open Access — No Article Processing Charges

EJBESS operates exclusively under a Diamond Open Access model. This means that publishing carries no financial burden for authors or their institutions at any stage of the editorial process. There are no submission fees, no Article Processing Charges (APCs)

All accepted articles are published Open Access immediately upon publication and made freely available to readers worldwide in perpetuity, with no embargo period and no paywalls. This model reflects ESRC's commitment to equitable access to knowledge and ensures that editorial decisions are made entirely on the basis of scholarly merit — never on an author's financial circumstances or institutional resources.

No manuscript is accepted or rejected, prioritized or delayed, on the basis of any financial consideration.

Optional Value-Added Services

In recognition that authors may benefit from additional professional support beyond the editorial process, ESRC makes available a suite of optional publishing packages — including services such as professional language editing, manuscript formatting, and research dissemination support. These services are offered independently of the journal's editorial operations, are entirely voluntary, and are in no way connected to submission, peer review, editorial decision-making, or publication outcomes.

5. Compliance with Standards

ESRC open access policies align with international publishing standards, including those recommended by COPE, DOAJ, and Scopus indexing guidelines, to maximize visibility, accessibility, and impact of published research.
