Scientific Research Methodology Using AI Tools
From research question to evidence to published paper
Many initiatives fall short because of weak diagnosis rather than weak solutions — whole programs are built on undocumented estimates. This module treats diagnosis as the methodological foundation of disciplined work: building the evidence base.
Starting from a live challenge or case study, you frame a precise research question, build an evidence map and a concise literature review with AI tools, learn to verify their outputs and set the limits of reliance on them, and finish with documentation, DOI publication and a linked researcher ID.
The goal: move your work from an internal report with limited reach to a peer-reviewed paper with a persistent identifier that others can cite.
What you will learn
- Frame a precise research question from an ill-defined challenge.
- Complete a concise systematic review with AI assistance — and verify it.
- Analyze a dataset and draw decision-ready conclusions.
- Distinguish what can be delegated to AI tools from what requires human judgment, within data and AI governance controls.
- Prepare a paper that meets deposit, indexing and publication requirements.
