Peer Review Policy V2

At the Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies (ESCRS), all submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and relevance of published research.

1. Review Type

Manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. This approach promotes impartiality and maintains confidentiality throughout the review process.

2. Reviewer Selection

Reviewers are chosen based on their expertise in the subject area of the manuscript. The editorial team ensures that no reviewer has conflicts of interest with the authors or the research content. Authors may suggest potential reviewers, but the final selection rests with the editorial office.

3. Review Criteria

Reviewers are asked to assess manuscripts on the following dimensions:

  • Originality and contribution to the field
  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Accuracy and clarity of methodology
  • Validity and interpretation of results
  • Compliance with ethical and academic standards

4. Editorial Oversight

The editorial team reviews all peer reviewer feedback and makes the final decision on acceptance, revision, or rejection. Decisions are based on the quality and scholarly merit of the manuscript.

5. Timelines

While the journal aims to provide timely feedback, review timelines may vary depending on reviewer availability but falls within a scope of 2 to 5 weeks.

6. Ethical Considerations

All reviewers and editorial staff are expected to adhere to the highest ethical standards as outlined by COPE. Confidentiality, impartiality, and constructive feedback are strictly maintained throughout the process.

7. Transparency and Accountability

The journal maintains records of peer review reports and decisions to ensure transparency and continuous improvement of editorial practices.

This policy is designed to ensure fair, consistent, and ethical peer review, while remaining flexible enough to accommodate the practical realities of scholarly publishing.
